Why BonBert sometimes takes a few extra seconds to scan a receipt

Receipts can be faded, folded, poorly printed and full of abbreviations. BonBert combines Tesseract with a self-hosted Qwen3.5 9B model to understand receipts as reliably as possible. That can occasionally take a little longer – but provides a stronger foundation for everything that follows.
